Serge Dassault Serge Dassault,
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dassault Aviation

"35 percent of Dassault Aviation's
total business are generated
by our business aircraft
and we expect that trend to continue."

Today's Falcon fleet numbers nearly 1,200 Falcons of all types, delivered to more than 70 countries in the five continents over the last 30 years. They represent 16 percent of the world's business jet airfleet and more than 7 million flight hours in total, a number that increases on average about 1,000 hours per day!

The growing success of Falcon aircraft has increased civil aircraft to approximately 35 percent of Dassault Aviation's total business, a trend that is expected to continue.

Between January 96 and September 96, 20 Falcons have been delivered to customers and the 96 orders are today at the same rate level than it was at the same period of 1995. Up to now 17 Falcons are being operated in Germany.

Dassault Aviation, Europe's only business jet manufacturer, is one of the few aeronautics companies in the world to develop business jets and military aircraft production in parallel.

For this reason, Falcon executive aircraft benefit from state-of-the-art technology (flight controls, new materials, cockpit ergonomics, head-up displays, etc.) and experience acquired with high-performance military aircraft. In addition, they are developed using many of the same tools as fighter aircraft (computational resources, aerodynamic design, simulation, etc.).

As a result, the Falcons are renowned for their robust construction, light weight, good handling characteristics, high performance, easy maintenance and low operating costs.

A healthy financial situation enables Dassault Aviation to maintain a high degree of self-financed investment and a substantial research and development budget. The most recent new programs, the Falcon 900EX and Falcon 50EX, were fully self-financed, with growing participation from risk-sharing partners coming from France, Belgium, Italy, USA and Greece.

Dassault Aviation, the mother company, design and develop the various Falcons and all what is necessary for the business jets support. The aircraft are produced in the various French Dassault Aviation's plants and assembled at Dassault Bordeaux Merignac (south of France). Then the aircraft are ferried to Dassault Falcon Jet's Little Rock facility for customized completion.

Dassault Falcon Jet, the American subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, is responsible for worldwide sales and marketing, and works closely with Dassault Aviation to coordinate Falcon's customer support services on a worldwide basis.

In addition, Dassault Falcon Jet is an integral part of the Dassault Aviation Group's industrial fabric, with responsibility for the customized completion (interior, avionics and paint) of all Falcons. Completions are performed at the Little Rock plant.

Thanks to our customer support policy settled early 1993, Dassault Aviation's customer support has been recognised to have considerably improved, and that according to the latest operator survey result evaluation. We are now in the 4 top-end manufacturer. In fact, Dassault is the only manufacturer in the survey that has had consistently improving scores every year for the past 4 years.
