Remarks (Bemerkungen)
The Citation CJ1 is targeted as the successor to the CitationJet, the sales leader in the entry-level business jet market. It has the CitationJet airframe, but offers some improvements like:
  • Collins Pro Line 21 avionics system as standard. It features two 8 x 10 inch adaptive flight displays, liquid crystal display HSI and ADI displays for the co-pilot, AlliedSignal CNI-5000 radios, Collins RTA-800 color weather radar, the Bendix/King KLN-900 FMS and a radio altimeter.
  • 90 kg gross weight increase
The Citation CJ1 was announced at the NBAA Convention in October 1998 at Las Vegas, "because the market has been asking for new technology and additional utility". First delivery will occur in the first quarter of 2000, probably taking over from the CitationJet at serial no. 360.
