Remarks (Bemerkungen)
The Falcon 900 is based on the Falcon 50 family, but features a new fuselage with a larger cross-section. Also, the wing has more span and area and is optimised for higher cruise speeds.
After the 900 and 900B, Dassault introduced the upgraded 900C. This adds the advanced avionics of the longer-range Falcon 900EX, i.e. the Honeywell Primus 2000 system, including five large displays. Dueal Laseref INS are standard on the 900C, as are the EGPWS and the turbulence-detection radar. The system also includes CAT II autopilot, dual FMS with an optional third integrated system, and Collins radios with flat-panel RTUs.

History (Geschichte)
The Falcon 900C was announced on 26 June 1998. A first aircraft flew on 17 December 1998. French DGAC certification was achieved in June 1999, followed by FAA approval on 26 August. Deliveries started at the turn of 1999/2000, to corporate customers in the USA.
History of the Falcon 900 began with a May 1983 announcement. The first aircraft flew on 21 September 1984. Versions were:
  • Falcon 900: Initial standard variant until 1992. Fitted with TFE731-5AR-1Cs, rated at 20,02 kN
  • Falcon 900B: Certified in 1991. Has TFE731-5BR-1C turbofans, to give a 5,5 per cent power increase. Also offers 185 km more range and a better initial cruising altitude. Now replaced by the 900C
